Hi, I’m Carmen!

I’m an artist based just outside of Calgary, Alberta, and am inspired by the beauty of Western Canada.

Art has always been a part of my life.  I was born and raised on the West Coast of B.C. My family always encouraged the arts and I found myself busy with drawing, music, ceramics, sewing, woodworking and any other crafts I could get my hands on.  When I decided to pursue studies at the U of A in healthcare, I used art as a creative outlet and started developing my unique style of painting as a means to escape from the stress of everyday life.  

Now a fulltime professional artist, my goal is to bring joy to you with scenes that remind you of the magic of Canada.  From the West Coast, to the Rockies, and the sweeping prairies of Alberta, I never stop falling in love with the beauty of Canada.

Vivid hues, bold brushstrokes and playful blocks of colour - these are the elements I use to reflect a lighthearted but loving tribute to the natural world, evoking feelings of wonder, nostalgia, comfort and home.
