Down the back roads just out of town, on the way from one place of importance to another, I had to stop and take a photo of this peaceful scene. Tucked into the valley, surrounded by the glowing light of not quite day, not quite night, the barn stood watching the world happen around it. The cars, the people, the wildlife, the harvests, the seasons. The barn holding steady through all of it. A moment worth remembering.
